Albert: the rooftop that elevates Brussels
A dining experience above the city
Just steps from the Grand Place, perched atop the Royal Library of Belgium, Albert offers a breathtaking panorama over Brussels. Here, you can enjoy inspired cuisine with the city as your backdrop: the soaring spire of the town hall, the Basilica of Koekelberg, and, in the distance, the Atomium, standing watch over the capital.
In an elegant and timeless atmosphere, with marble, rosewood, and travertine accents, Albert redefines the rooftop experience in Brussels. A place where you can take in the view—both in your surroundings and on your plate.

A historic setting with a forward-thinking vision
Built in the 1960s, the Royal Library was a symbol of Brussels’ modernist era. What was once a simple cafeteria has now transformed into a restaurant where seasonal, local cuisine takes center stage. Each dish pays tribute to Belgium’s rich culinary heritage, with a contemporary and refined touch.

Honest, seasonal cuisine
At Albert, fresh, local, and raw ingredients are carefully selected and prepared with precision. The menu evolves with the seasons, offering balanced and harmonious pairings:
- Beetroot, apple & egg cream salad – A timeless classic, reimagined with elegance.
- Rabbit terrine, savory & citrus – A nod to Belgium’s terroir, without nostalgia.
- Skrei fillet, lemongrass broth & pak choi – A journey between Brussels and Asia.
- Caramelized endive tart, Karditsel cream & fresh herb salad – The essence of Belgium in a single bite.
The buffet, generous yet refined, invites diners to compose their plate with gourmet curiosity. Every bite tells a story.

And soon… starlit evenings
While Albert is already a delight for lunch and weekend brunch, it will soon extend its experience into the evening, starting in spring 2025. A glass in hand, a beautifully plated dish before you, and Brussels glowing beneath your gaze… A new way to experience the capital, where fine dining meets an exceptional view.

Chalet Robinson: an enchanting escape in the heart of Brussels
A secret island in the city
Nestled in the Bois de la Cambre, on an island accessible only by a small ferry, Chalet Robinson is one of those rare places where time seems to stand still. Surrounded by water and lush greenery, this gourmet retreat offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, just minutes from the center of Brussels.
A Brussels landmark for over a century, the chalet has been reborn through the years, preserving its authentic charm while evolving to offer today’s pleasures. A natural haven where guests come to enjoy lakeside lunches, generous brunches, and unforgettable events.

A historic venue in the heart of the Bois de la Cambre
The story of Chalet Robinson began in 1877, when this elegant wooden pavilion was built on the island that now bears its name. Quickly becoming a favorite spot for Brussels’ city dwellers, it turned into a go-to destination where people gathered to enjoy comforting cuisine, dance, and soak in the serenity of the lake.
After a devastating fire in 1991, the chalet disappeared for nearly twenty years before being reborn in 2009, staying true to its original spirit. Today, it blends tradition and modernity, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a setting where wood and natural light reign supreme.

A menu inspired by nature and tradition
The cuisine at Chalet Robinson is generous and authentic, paying tribute to Belgium’s great brasserie classics:
- Handmade shrimp croquettes – A must-try Belgian specialty.
- Homemade vol-au-vent with crispy fries – A nod to comforting recipes of the past.
- Brussels-style fish & chips – Because tradition also loves to travel.
- Indulgent desserts and weekend brunch – The perfect excuse to linger a little longer.
Here, the experience is as much about the setting as the food: a sun-drenched terrace in summer, a warm and inviting wooden interior, and a landscape that changes with the seasons.

An exceptional venue for your events
With flexible spaces and a unique setting, Chalet Robinson can be fully privatized for private and corporate events. Weddings, anniversaries, receptions, and seminars take on a whole new dimension here, set against the gentle backdrop of the lake and the island’s intimacy.
Accessible only by a private ferry, the experience begins the moment you arrive, adding an exclusive and magical touch to every occasion.
Whether for a lakeside lunch, a Sunday brunch, or a special event, Chalet Robinson offers an enchanting retreat, where Brussels fades away, if only for the time of a meal.
