Albert Rooftop: Brussels’ Summer Escape Above the City
This summer, Brussels is reaching new heights. From 3 July 2026, and from Wednesday to Sunday (5 p.m to 11 p.m), Albert Rooftop returns to the top of the KBR (Royal Library of Belgium), transforming one of the city’s most spectacular viewpoints into a vibrant open-air destination.
Perched above the iconic Mont des Arts, this seasonal rooftop combines panoramic views, sunset drinks, world-inspired street food and live music, making it one of the most exciting places to experience Brussels during the warmer months.
A Hidden Rooftop in the Heart of Brussels
Some places feel like a well-kept secret, even when they sit in the centre of the city. Albert Rooftop is one of them. Located atop the KBR, just steps from Brussels’ most famous cultural landmarks, the terrace offers breathtaking views across the city’s rooftops, church spires and historic skyline.
Whether you’re discovering Brussels for the first time or rediscovering it from a new perspective, this elevated oasis provides a unique setting to unwind above the bustle of the city.
Sunset Drinks and Flavours from Around the World
Summer evenings are made for lingering over a drink, and Albert Rooftop embraces the art of the aperitivo. The menu features refreshing cocktails, alcohol-free creations, carefully selected wines and local beers, all designed to be enjoyed as the sun sets over Brussels.
This season also welcomes Albert Latitudes, a culinary concept inspired by flavours from around the globe. From Brussels to Athens, Da Nang, Mexico City, Beirut and Kinshasa, the menu celebrates international street food culture through generous sharing plates and vibrant seasonal dishes. It’s an invitation to travel through taste while staying firmly rooted in the Belgian capital.
Music, Sunsets and Summer Atmosphere
On selected Fridays throughout the season, Albert Rooftop hosts Albert Frequencies, a series of sunset music sessions curated by local and international DJs. As the city lights begin to sparkle below, guests can enjoy an eclectic soundtrack inspired by Brussels and beyond, creating an atmosphere that is both lively and effortlessly relaxed.
The music complements rather than dominates the experience, allowing visitors to enjoy conversations, cocktails and the spectacular setting while soaking up the energy of a Brussels summer evening.
The Perfect Evening from Hôtel des Galeries
For guests staying at Hôtel des Galeries, Albert Rooftop offers an ideal summer outing just a short walk away. After a day exploring the Royal Galleries, the Grand Place, the museums of the Mont des Arts or Brussels’ vibrant shopping streets, the rooftop provides the perfect place to slow down and savour the city.
Its central location, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional views make it a memorable addition to any Brussels itinerary, whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway, a cultural break or a business trip.
Discover Brussels from Above
With its panoramic setting, international flavours, sunset cocktails and cultural programme, Albert Rooftop is set to become one of Brussels’ must-visit summer destinations.
Open from 3 July throughout the summer season, it offers visitors and locals alike a chance to experience the city from a fresh perspective.
Sometimes, the best way to discover Brussels is simply to rise above it.
